For several years now, Botox treatments remain a popular choice among men and women looking to reduce their dynamic facial lines and wrinkles, or those lines and wrinkles that appear every time they make facial movements. Botox cosmetic treatments are a top choice because they are non-invasive, require no downtime or recovery, and most of all, they are effective. For anyone who doesn’t want to go the surgical route but still would wish to have younger-looking skin, Botox injections are an ideal choice.
Why do some patients look “frozen” after a Botox treatment?
Some patients who have never had a Botox treatment before, hesitate to undergo this type of procedure because of what they’ve seen on TV or the internet: that dreaded frozen look on individuals who’ve had a Botox treatment. What people should understand about Botox treatments is that where you get these and who administers the injections play a crucial role in their success. That said, make sure to be extra picky when choosing a clinic for your BOTOX® Cosmetic treatment.
As to what happens during treatment that give patients the frozen look, this could be caused by either one of two things: the formulation wasn’t diluted enough, or the patient was given a higher dose than what their specific skin condition required. In either case, the patient may develop the dreaded frozen look once Botox has fully taken effect.
Is there a way to reverse this frozen look?
There is no way to “unfreeze” Botox or to reverse the frozen look. Patients will simply have to wait for the effects of Botox to dissipate, so they can regain their “normal” look.
What about droopy eyebrows from Botox cosmetic?
Droopy eyebrows that result from Botox treatments could occur when the solution was injected too close to the eyebrows, too much Botox was injected in the area right above the eyebrow, or when the patient accidentally rubbed the injection site immediately after treatment, which resulted in Botox spreading down to the eyebrow area.
But usually, it’s because Botox was injected too close to the eyebrows that caused droopy eyebrows to develop. Again, the patient will have to wait for the effects of Botox to fade to get their eyebrows back into place, so to speak.
