SculpSure
Do you have pockets of fat around your midsection that you can’t seem to get rid of no matter what you do? It’s especially frustrating when you know you’re exercising and eating a healthy diet—and they still won’t go away. Fortunately, there’s a groundbreaking new solution, and Rejuvé is one of the first clinics to offer it in the Bay Area.
SculpSure contours your body, reducing stubborn fat in your abdomen and love handles without pain or downtime. In fact, SculpSure is the first noninvasive laser device to be FDA cleared for permanent fat reduction. Using light, SculpSure permanently destroys fat cells—to maintain your results, you just need to maintain your weight. It works on any body type or skin pigment, and the highly customizable nature of the procedure means that your treatment can be fine-tuned to your goals.
SculpSure works by heating your fat cells above the temperature where they are viable. During the treatment, cooling plates are used to keep your skin cool and comfortable while the heat is delivered straight to the fat. It all takes only half an hour, and you’ve got no downtime at all. With SculpSure, there’s no massage or kneading needed after the treatment, and there’s no bruising. You can go right back to your regular schedule!
In the weeks following the treatment, your body will clear away the heat-damaged fat cells, revealing a slimmer, smoother you. You’ll start to enjoy the results about 6 weeks after your treatment, reaching your optimal results at 12 weeks. Though some people are able to achieve the results they want with just one SculpSure treatment, depending on your goals it may take as many as four treatments to get the results you desire.

Frequently Asked Questions
How does SculpSure work?
SculpSure uses heat carefully delivered via laser to target those areas of fat that can seem impossible to lose. With four applicators, it’s easy to pinpoint your specific trouble spots and customize the procedure to your needs. The fat cells in the targeted area are heated to the point that they are no longer viable. The heat from SculpSure will often extend a little beyond the treatment area in a process called thermal spread, which helps make your results look even more natural. There’s no damage to the surrounding skin, and no bruising, which can happen with suction-based procedures. Following the procedure, your body will naturally remove the damaged cells. You’ll start to see good results at 6 weeks, and you should have great results in just 12 weeks.
What happens during the SculpSure procedure?

How long do the results from SculpSure last?
A huge advantage of SculpSure: Your results are permanent, because those fat cells are gone! SculpSure produces an average 24% reduction in fat volume in the target area. To achieve that kind of permanent fat reduction, patients have turned to time-consuming and invasive procedures like liposuction. SculpSure delivers similar results without having to go “under the knife.” That said, to maintain optimal results, you need to stay at a healthy weight. It has been found that people who do gain weight after SculpSure tend to accumulate more fat in areas that were not treated with the device.
What are the risks of SculpSure?
Another advantage of the SculpSure procedure is that it’s easily tolerated. SculpSure is completely non-invasive. No side effects have been reported—that means no pain, numbness, or bruising. In fact, SculpSure has an over 90% patient satisfaction rate. During the procedure, cooling plates are used to make sure that your skin stays comfortable while the fat cells beneath the surface are heated. There’s no suction during the procedure, and generally patients do not report any discomfort. After your SculpSure treatment is done, you’ll be able to get up and get back to your day right away, with no recovery time or post-procedure massage.
Can I get SculpSure if I’ve had lipo?
This depends on your individual case. If you’re treating a different area than you did with liposuction, then you’re likely to be able to go ahead with SculpSure. However, if you’re interested in using SculpSure to revise your lipo, whether it’s an option depends on what kind of fat you’re dealing with. Both SculpSure and liposuction target the subcutaneous fat that lies right beneath the skin. If you have that kind of fat in the area where you’ve had lipo, SculpSure may be able to help you get back your original results. On the other hand, if the subcutaneous fat has been removed and visceral fat (fat that is beyond skin deep) is what’s being seen, SculpSure would not be able to change your appearance. Every case is different, and during your consultation Dr. Tang will talk with you about your medical history and your treatment goals to determine whether you are a candidate for SculpSure.
What makes SculpSure different from other slimming treatments?
Though other body contouring treatments like CoolSculpting and Venus Freeze can give you similar results, SculpSure offers a faster treatment time, no downtime or discomfort, and a shorter time to see results. However, all of these treatments have different pros and cons. What will work best for you depends on your body and the results you’re hoping to achieve. A one-on-one consultation with Dr. Tang will help you understand which body contouring treatment will help you look your best. Ready to get started?
