If you’re new to treatments like Ultherapy, the before and after of it might be a bit of a mystery. Before:
Making an Appointment – Procedures like Ultherapy, Coolsculpting, and lasers at Rejuvé Medical are usually discussed in a quick consultation with a clinician or doctor. This does not only prepare you for the procedure ahead, but ensures that you’re getting the right treatment for your goals.
Taking Medication – Let Dr. Tang know if you’re taking any medication. We recommend bringing your prescription or taking photos of the labels.
Removing Makeup – It’s best to arrive for your appointment with light or no makeup on. If you do arrive with makeup, be prepared to wash it off before the procedure.
After:
Aftercare and Recovery – Some swelling and redness may occur at first, but it should begin to come down after a day or so. The swelling may depend on how aggressive the treatment was. Bruising is rare, but is more likely to occur if you’re taking blood thinning medication. Applying topical arnica may help.
Ultherapy Results – You should begin to see results within the first few weeks of treatment. The skin tightening will peak in around 90 to 120 days.
Follow-up Treatment – Nothing lasts forever. Because your body will continue to age at its normal rate, there’s no amount of time for how long the treatment will last. Most patients have a follow-up after 1.5 to 2 years.
