Q: Are there any reasons why I should not receive Restylane® Kysse?
A: Patients with multiple severe allergies and a history of severe allergic reaction make poor candidates for the treatment.
Q: What precautions should my doctor discuss with me?
A: Provide your doctor with your extensive medical history and inform them about the drugs and treatments you are currently taking. Complications may arise if you get Restylane® Kysse while you have certain conditions and/or are taking specific medications.
For instance, having a bleeding disorder and/or taking high doses of NSAIDs such as ibuprofen may increase the risk of bruising or bleeding at the injection site. Using other skin therapies alongside Restylane® Kysse may lead to side effects such as inflammation.
After treatment, limit your exposure to the sun and extreme temperatures, as this may cause temporary redness, swelling, and/or itching at the injection site.
Q: What should I expect after the Restylane® Kysse procedure?
A: Post-procedure, the lips may have minor swelling lasting 2-3 days. There may also be bruising, which often subsides within a week. To limit such side effects, Arnica essential oil and/or ice may be applied.
Compare your Restylane® Kysse before and after photos to see if you’ve achieved your desired results. If after 1 week you’d like more fullness, you may ask for additional filler injections.
